THE DOMAIN
The « Domaine de Limbardie » is made of 13 hectares of vineyards located in the northwest Béziers in Languedoc Roussillon. It is in the town of Cessenon, at the heart of the Orb valley, in the St Chinian guaranteed vintage.
THE VINEYARD
Located by the Orb’s riverside, the clayey and chalky lands have been improved by the river through centuries to make a very specific soil.
There are 4400 stocks per hectares. The stocks spacing is 2.40 m over 0.90 m in order to get a good airing of the stocks and an optimum exposure of the grapes.
The vineyard is both made of grapes from the Bordeaux vineyards (Merlot and Cabernet) and more traditional grapes from the Languedoc vineyards : Syrah and Grenache.
THE FARMING/THE CULTIVATION
We practice what is called “the rational fight”. Indeed, it is indispensable to make a phytosanitary protection of the vineyard (fertilizers, herbicides…). But this protection can be rational. It implies a precise process that permits to limit the quantity of phytosanitary products used.
From the planting of the stocks to the bottling : all is done by us.
